Opened as a tribute to Sathya Sai Baba, the Chaitanya Jyoti Museum in Puttaparthi is a museum that stands for the type of religious harmony, charity and universal kinship that was propounded by Sathya Sai Baba. The museum is dedicated to the life and teachings of the guru who was considered to be an avatar of Shirdi Sai Baba. The architecture of the museum incorporates elements from the Shikhara style and that of the Chinese Pagodas. The museum is housed in a building with seven levels and displays the common ideas that underlie all world religions. It has an archive of religious heritage from across the globe that includes replicas, idols and objects that project the credo of all major religions.
