The Singaria Coin Museum is a one-of-a-kind museum of currencies based in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It is an ongoing effort of preserving history and tracing the evolution of human civilization through the medium of numismatics. This collaborative initiative of two siblings, late Devendra Singaria and Subhash Singaria was started as a passion project for collecting coins and has been a museum in progress since 1999. Before establishing the museum, both Mr Devendra and Mr Subhash had been exhibiting their collection of coins and paper currencies in various fairs and open exhibitions at schools and institutions across India.

The museum claims to hold the collection of almost 10,000 pieces of different trading modes and economics of India and many other countries. The collection majorly displays the currency (both coins and paper) of India and its evolution over time, from ancient India to different ruling periods of Mughals, British, and colonies of Dutch and French. The museum also displays different coin dies, some misprinted coins and paper currency from across the globe. The museum houses a small library about the history and the existence of currency, economics, and numismatic studies as well.

The museum is managed and cared for by Mr Subhash and his family with no other backing from any trust, foundation, or individual. Mr Subhash and his family share a fine balance between a public and a private space since the museum is their home and their home is the museum, a very rare and beautiful experience for any visitor.
